Gender Iconography engages the topic of gender identity, though it's subject Paquita, a young Latinx Drag Queen. It explores the challenges of expressing yourself freely when a society, especially a traditional Latinx community, expects you to conform to the norm. A lot of Britney's work plays with juxtapositions between location and subject, and also with colour in order to present the theme of gender identity.
