Paquita De La Torres is the stage name for Edisson Medina, a British - Latinx drag queen and actor. Edisson started off on small stages in theatre and student films. His acting and photography qualifications, mixed with his modelling experience and love for make up, are what lead him to discover of the art of drag, which birthed Paquita.

 

Paquita De La Torres was born on a motorway in Acton Central, London - November 2018, a photoshoot for her younger cousin is what helped bring her to life. Paquita's debut performance was at the beginning of 2019 for EXILIO Latino Uk a LGBTQ+ nightclub. They have kindly opened their doors to co-host and perform as a resident queen where she is known for her interesting performance style.

Paquita has continued to work with Exilio since her debut, and had been invited to take part in many events such as LONDON PRIDE 2019, 2LatinX2Queer (Brixton reel Film Festival), and many more. Pageants have been a huge interest for paquita which motivated her to apply and participate in The Big Drag Pageant Bristol. Paquita has since done some modelling for custom designed gowns.
